BACKGROUND
Stef is always full of energy and can get bored very easily. The first year we were here Pete decided to start a business for her to keep her busy. Because there are over 700 Expats living in or near Atenas, and more arriving every month - who really didn't know how to get some things handled, Pete saw a need to help these people. Thus Costa Concierges was born.
At first, we were set up to handle anything they needed from getting housekeepers to going out and getting their groceries. This really did not work out well because too many people were needed and it took up all of our time, leaving absolutely no time for us to enjoy ourselves. The decision was made to cut back and concentrate on several key important factors that people needed.
CURRENT FOCUS - COSTA CONCIERGE SERVICES AND CIMG
Property Management - There are many homeowners who live here only part-time. When they are gone, there is no one to care for their house and make sure the bills are paid. Stef got more involved in Property Management and now cares for quite a few homes in the area. This includes making sure the electric bills and other are paid on time - seeing the the yards are kept in good condition - getting any needed repairs done - and making sure the homes are kept clean.
Rental Cars - She is also into helping people get rental cars at good deals. She did this because we got screwed big time on our last exploratory mission prior to moving here. She said that she isn't going to let that happen to other people, so she set up deals with some great rental car companies who work very close with her. Now, she is considered the gal to go to to get a rental car while in the Atenas area.
Vacation Rental Properties, and More - Because we own two apartments on our property that are rented on a regular basis, we expanded this concept with some other properties. In some cases, this goes hand in hand with her Property Management customers. Why not make some money on your investment while you are not here was the answer. This is working out pretty good, but now, because of the demand, we need to find more places that would be available to rent as vacation rentals, short-term rentals and now even long-term rentals.
Thinking of Building a New Home? For some reason, Pete started having a need for something to do. Although he helps Stef with the Property Management end of the business - He wanted something of his own to do that would help people. One big thing that he found was that there are people who sign a contract to build a house and leave while the house is being built - BAD DECISION!!! because things are done much differently here and someone needs to make sure things are done right. Because of this need, CIMG or Costa Investment Management Group was formed as a division of Costa Concierges.
The purpose was to be someone who has knowledge of how homes are built here and be there everyday to see that things are done right, please continue reading below.
Over-Seeing Building Construction - Pete really enjoys doing this and has the connections to get a nice home built for around $60-65 a square ft. - He refuses to be called a builder and will give the owner several options for builders, architects, and engineers for the owner to choose from. He has also found that having a house built on a turn-key basis is not the best way to go. In addition to over-seeing the construction, Pete makes the deals on the materials, pays all the bills and submits a detailed data cost analysis to the owner on a regular basis. In addition, he likes to use a blog showing progress on the project so the owner can always see how things are going. This has worked very well with the construction of the homes he has been involved with.

This is what we do and we have earned a reputation for being very good at it. Also, we enjoy it and are satisfying our desires to help people coming to Atenas.
